Liza Cherney
Vice President of Talent
Liza spends the majority of her time with CEOs and their leadership teams strategizing how to attract and retain top talent. She runs Pacific Lake's Executive Leadership Program, which recruits and matches highly qualified individuals with senior roles in the portfolio. She started the HR cohort, which is a forum for HR leaders to come together to share best practices in the human capital arena.
Her latest endeavor is building out Pacific Lake's board program, which matches highly qualified board members with opportunities in the portfolio. Prior to joining Pacific Lake, Liza was a member of Spencer Stuart’s Technology, Media & Telecommunications and Marketing Officer practices where she drove the executive search process in all capacities including market insight and talent assessment. She started her career in Change Management consulting at Hitachi Consulting where she developed and implemented communication strategies, role delineation, process development, and knowledge transfer work. Liza received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Science from the University of Southern California, where she was a member of the Sigma Phi Omega Honor Society. Liza earned her MBA from Boston College with a specialization in Leadership & Management. She is a former marathon and triathlon athlete who now just enjoys the random 5-10K run with friends. Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, she now resides in the Boston area and enjoys time with her family traveling, skiing, playing with their Cavapoo dogs, and drinking copious amounts of coffee!
